Waiting time
Waiting time at industries is recalculated regularly; industry shares and friendly associations shorten it, rival associations lengthen it.
The waiting time is how long a train waits at an industry; it is recalculated regularly.
What changes it
- The occupancy rate of the industry (how much of its hourly capacity is collected) matters most, then investments; in processing industries, the stock of incoming goods also counts.
- Investments give a personal waiting time bonus; an industry share gives every member of the association a bonus there.
- A friendly association cuts its waiting times by 25%; a rival association sees its own rise by 50%.
- Random events: strikes lengthen waiting times, overtime shortens them.
- City projects can bring shorter waiting times for the whole city.
- Stopping at industries between loading and delivery points cuts waiting times.
Happy Hour
In the first hour after an industry opens, its waiting time is 0:00 until the next recalculation: the players call it Happy Hour or Golden Hour. Engines of the Sprinter type are suited to it.
