City

Cities consume their stock of goods every 15 minutes and level up when they are supplied with the goods they require.

Cities are the heart of the game: players connect to them with their tracks, supply them with goods and carry their passengers.

Growth

  • A city asks for certain goods; delivering them makes it level up, and each level-up pays prestige to the suppliers.
  • Every 15 minutes, a city consumes part of its stock of each goods type (see consumption).
  • The city project lets players donate items to unlock rewards for the city, up to five per level.

Connecting to a city

  • Your home city is connected from the start, at no fee.
  • Reaching another city for the first time costs a one-off connection fee, which rises sharply with each new city.
  • Twin cities can be connected at no extra cost.

Competitions

  • Every 6 hours (3 on x2 servers), each city holds a competition for the players connected to it.
  • Five cities at a time also compete in a city competition lasting two hours.

Overcrowding

A city becomes overcrowded, and cannot be chosen any more, when it has far more players than the average of the other cities (the exact threshold given by the official help is ambiguous).
