Laboratoire

What it does

The Laboratory produces research points. You spend them to develop new standard engines and their upgrades; bonus engines of every kind are excluded.

Levels

• A higher level produces research points faster and raises how many can be stored.
• Upgrade times are halved on x2 worlds and cut to a quarter on x4 worlds.

Starting level by era

• era 1: level 1
• era 2: level 5
• era 3: level 9
• era 4: level 13
• era 5: level 16
• era 6: level 18

Speeding up research

• The Researcher raises research point production for 24 hours (40 gold); it is included in the Plus Account (7 days, 150 gold).
• The super starter pack gives one more Laboratory level.
• When you exchange the three coins of the lottery, the research points prize depends on your Laboratory level.
• Research points have a cap: spend them regularly to keep production going, and save some at the end of an era to unlock the next era's engines straight away.
